This past weekend, June 9th and 10th was the 2nd Annual Ten Pack Am Jam, held at Muskoka Woods. It was an awesome weekend, good friends, good weather, campfires, beverages of the alcoholic nature, and of course, lots of good riding. I don’t really have a lot else to say about the weekend so I am just going to share some of my photos.

This morning I was up at the crack of dawn, literally. I looked out my window and the sunrise was actually pretty nice so I took a couple of photos. These is taken from my living room window. (they are a little weird because they are taken through the screen. Oh well)

and in the time it took to take about 5 pictures it had changed this much-

Tonight I had the final of the four photography classes. It was a really great mini-course and really taught me a lot about the basis of photography. It was run through the city of Mississauga, so if you live in the area, and you are interested in getting started in photography, I highly recommend taking the course. The instructor’s name was Marco, he’s a pretty cool guy and knows his stuff! You can check out his website here.

This photo was my final assignment. It didn’t come out quite how I wanted it to, but it’s an OK picture.

I took my camera out on the streets on my lunch hour, and after work today, here are a couple of photos I particularly like….

I am taking a 4 week photography class through the city of Mississauga. We had our first class last Tuesday night and I think it is going to be pretty good. We have weekly assignments, this week the assignment was to take 2 photos, 1 portrait and 1 landscape, no flash, and to use what we had learned to far about apature and shutter speed. Here are my pictures-

I finally got around to downloading our photos from our Labour Day weekend trip and I thought I would share some…so here it goes-

We started out with an exciting mountain bike excursion-

This is the view from our cottage, it was quite nice-

this was the main lodge, where we played tonnes of ping pong because it rained a lot!

so Dave decided to fly a kite…as you can see things started out alright, but by the end he was defeated..Charlie Brown look out!

That was enough kite flying for one day so off to Santas Village we go. Dave got attacked by a bear…

Luckily for him, some of Santas friends came and saved him. He was the other rieghndeer…Fatty. This guy was way fatter than any of the others and he was mean too. This is fatty…

after running out of food, Fatty got angry at us…

We had enough of Fatty so it was off to meet Elf Ricky. I never thought I’d see a boat do donuts, but leave it to Elf Ricky! He was like magic, I think the pictures speak for themselves….

Then we thought it would be nice to have our picture taken together on one of those swan boats so we asked some kid who worked there to take it for us, apparenlty he didnt quite get the concepts of “us”…

just before we left we noticed vikings had got lost at the north pole…

Finally, on our last day, Dave made some friends. He misses them a lot…

they just kept coming…we called him the duck charmer…

Eventually I think being around so many ducks got to him. He hasnt quite been the same since…
